Spend Less, Get More – The Digital Mantra
The IPA are reporting that 45% of companies are planning to cut their marketing spend this year. At Tradewind / Digital Agency Search we are determined to ensure that this situation is turned into an opportunity for the digital industry. We are compiling a white paper for clients entitled “2009 – WHAT DIGITAL AGENCIES HAVE TO OFFER – HOW CLIENTS CAN REAP THE BENEFITS”
UTALKMARKETING.com says: “Marketers face a challenge of turning trying times to their advantage. Agencies and marketers that can raise their game will stand out in 2009, because the gloom and economic hardships will claim so many marginal players.”
Between now and February 13th we are dividing between us and meeting with 50 digital agencies (some of whom we’ve met before) to get their views on the challenges of 2009, why clients frustrate them in terms of their agency selection, budget allocation, brief writing, the pitch process, project management and their overall use of digital.
What underlies this is the knowledge that cuts in marketing spend doesn’t have to mean cuts in overall marketing. Through the intelligent use of digital everybody in the know, knows that so much more can be achieved for much less – and this is the time for the digital industry to step up to the plate and prove it!
