The Tradewind Gang

Tradewind 2008

Sam Brownfield (founder)

Sam is ex-I.T, ex-client-side, ex-agency. He lives in Hampshire with his young family and to be frank is not as tall as he could be (this picture was taken on a slope, Andy is 6′5″)

Sam founded Tradewind London Ltd in the summer of 2006 as a vehicle to challenge the outdated practices that he sees as besetting the digital industry and to foster new ways of developing quality digital services and products for both client and agency. Through this, Sam now advises a number of client and agency boards on how best to develop their digital offerings and capitalise on the opportunities the digital marketplace presents.

Andrew Allen (Innovation Director)

Andrew doesn’t have a young family and goes pale at the talk of it. Recently moved to London from his native Birmingham, he likes food. Alot.

Andrew Joined Tradewind in May 2008 having spent the previous two and a half years at Birmingham agency, Clusta, establishing them as a leading digital outsource specialist. The experiences he gained from working with many of the country’s major advertising agencies gives him a unique insight into the world of digital media and the people that work within it. He has a particular interest in the effective use of emerging technologies and 3D, with the latter being a result of his product design degree from Aston University.

Who this guy doesn’t know in the agency world should err…give him a call.

Cheryl Menges (Operations Director)

Cheryl has spent years on the front-line of agency accounts departments and knows better than anyone the intricacies of making agencies pay for themselves. She is average height and lives in Bromley, also with a young family.

Cheryl kicked off at Queensland Banking Equitable (QBE), then moving on to the Management Finance teams of ITN News, The Economist, Interfocus, EMI/Chrysalis (Label), Electric, Liquorice, 23Red and finally settling in at Tradewind in 2007.

Having worked in Insurance, Music, TV and spent close to 15 years in the Marketing and Advertising industry, she knows what it takes to manage a tight ship and crunch the numbers whilst keeping on top of the integral part of this industry “WIP” (or Work In Progress) to aid the smooth running of the business and for everyone to know exactly where they stand in every financial aspect of the business.
